Cooking and Nutrition- Year 5
In their DT unit this term Year 5 have linked their cooking and nutrition to their knowledge of WW2. They looked at how rationing affected diet and food choices during the time period, and looked at initiatives such as Dig for Victory, which helped to support areas where food was scarce.
As part of their research they found that vegetable pies were a popular recipe, and they have used seasonal ingredients to make their own dishes.
