Sports Week July 2024
During Sports week we celebrated two major sporting events happening this year.
Throughout the week, Year 1-3 participated in a range of events linked to the Summer Olympics being held in Paris this year. Children took part in quizzes and activities linked to different Olympic sports. On their sports day the children enjoyed an opening ceremony together, before competing in a range of athletic activities, such as rely races, obstacle courses, throwing and jumping.
Throughout the week Year 4-6 competed in different activities linked to the Euro's football competition. Children took part in quizzes about the Euro's and teams participating, learnt some new German vocabulary- as they are the host country this time. On their sports day the children enjoyed participating in a range of football themed activities, including penalty shoot out, keepy uppies and dribbling relays.
All of the events helped the children to earn points for their houses across the week. Big house points were then awarded for the winning house in Year 1-3 and Year 4-6. Well done Dudley for winning both Sports Day events this year!
