Year 5 Trip to RAF Cosford

To end their fascinating topic "Battles, Blackout and Blitz" Year 5 visited the RAF museum at Cosford. Here they participated in a workshop about the Battle of Britain. The children were able to examine artefacts from the war, try on replica costumes and imagine what life might have been like for the pilots and soldiers during WW2. 

The children then explored the rest of the museum, exploring planes from different periods of the RAF's history. Children were able to see and explain how technology and advances in production had changed the way planes are designed and made.
