Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible under-achievement. These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals and those looked after by the local authority. The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and raise attainment. All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received, how this is being used, and the impact of any work done.

At Halesowen CE Primary we have always focused on meeting the needs of all of our children as individuals and it is central to our ethos. The pupil premium funding received helps us to support many children across the school. We also use this money on occasions, to subsidise some educational visits in order to broaden children's life experiences, such as residential trips, for example by funding transport. For some children this has a huge impact on their self-esteem and confidence.
