Head teacher's Update
A great week at school again with lots going on. There seems to be a lot of illness around at the moment both with staff and children, but we carry on regardless - the education of our children being of paramount importance.
We talked in assembly this week about how we show 'commitment' to our families and you'll be pleased to know that the children talked about 'trust' and 'love' and 'caring' and all those things that make up a family unit. We talked about how sometimes we can forget some of these things and how it is important to remind ourselves to say thank you for what our family may do for us.
Next week is another busy week in school; it will be half term before you know it!
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." - JFK

REMINDER
Parking
THERE ARE STILL PARENT PARKING ON THE STAFF AND VISITOR CAR PARKS.
Please do not park on either of the car parks. The local area now has free parking for 1 hour and the Andrew Road and High Street car parks are all very close to school should you not find a safe place to park on the street.
SHARING
This is a space on the newsletter where we can share with you things we have been doing in school
This week Year 5 have been doing some Mexican Cooking. There were a lot of funny smells coming from the class! What was pleasing to see was the recipes the children wrote following this. Matthew and Spartak worked particularly hard and came to show Mr Payne their work.
PICTURES TO FOLLOW
FOREST SCHOOLS
Nursery and Reception are very lucky to be having forest school sessions every Friday until Easter led by a specialist from Forest School Birmingham. The children need to wear old clothes and wellies or old trainers ever Friday so they are suitably dressed. Hopefully we can share some pictures next week!
