Let's Go For a Walk

Inspired by the Cbeebies show Let's Go For a Walk Nursery have been exploring the world around them and around our school. Using maps and photographs children were able to explore the church yard next to our school and create their own maps of the area. 

They have also learnt about their different senses, and how we use them to explore things in our world: feeling the textures of plants and leaves, smelling the aromas of fruits and plants, listening to the sounds outside. 

Taking what they had learnt this week, Nursery went on a sense walk around the church yard noticing different feels, sights, sounds and smells. They were able to make a map to show what they had discovered on their walk.
