Fire fighters visit Reception!
The children were so excited to receive a visit from some fire fighters from our local fire station.
In school the children have been learning all about bonfire night and how to stay safe around bonfires and fireworks. They have enjoyed dressing up as firemen, pretending to extinguish fires, using the chalks to draw fireworks, creating firework dances to music, creating their own fire engine for the role play area and collecting different length sticks and logs to build our own bonfire outside.
On Monday some fire fighters from our local fire station came in to visit Nursery and Reception. The children were so excited to meet real life fire fighters. The firemen spoke to the children about how to stay safe and what to do if their was a fire at home. They also let the children explore the fire engine and use the hose to extinguish a 'fire'.
A big thank you to the firemen from Haden Cross Fire Station. The children had a great morning.
