Week 1
We read the story Daniel and the Lions Den and role played key parts while thinking about the emotions of different characters and how they illustrated their faith in God. Next we collected words to describe Daniel and finished our session by using artificial intelligence to ask Daniel questions.
Week 2
We read the story Noah's Ark and sang a song, thinking about the message from this story from God. We enjoyed playing a pairs game in groups and using lego to create representations of the animals from the story and creating an ark.
Week 3
We listened to the story of The Donkey in the Hole, creating a story map while we listened. We then played a hot seat activity. We discussed how the moral of this story could be applied to our lives each day; to have faith in God when we are faced with obstacles.
Week 4
In preparation for our Christingle service, we made the Christingles, learning about the symbolic reference for each part and then we helped to decorate a Christmas tree for Year 1.
Week 5
This week we read the story of the Crocodile and the Priest, a Sikhism based story. We talked about how faith and trust were shown in the story. We then made the crocodile and discussed words to describe the crocodile.
Week 6
To finish off our faith and fun club we followed instructions with gingerbread biscuits to create a sleigh.
