Escape From Pompeii

In Year 3 we have been reading the story, Escape From Pompeii. To bring the story to life and understand the time period we explored what life would have been like in Pompeii and other Roman towns. Looking at images of ruins we were able to use our imagination and create our own temples and buildings using Lego.

We have also used a Now Press Play experience to transport us back in time to 79AD, just before the last eruption of Mount Vesuvius. As we listened to the rumble of the volcano and dodged showers of ash and pumice, we had to come up with an escape plan quickly!
