Cadbury World Visit Year 3

As part of our Chocolate Factory topic Year 3 have been learning all about the history of Bournville and how the Cadbury family changed the way that factories manufactured and looked after their workers. 

We have also been set a DT task of designing a new flavour for Cadbury's Brunch bar range, which is a healthy flavour and also appealing to lots of people. We met with a member of the Cadbury team who gave us lots of information about how Cadbury's design and make their products. 

As we continued our tour of the factory we were able to see the chocolates journey to Cadbury and how the factory had come to be in Bournville. 

We had a go at being workers in the chocolate factory- writing in chocolate and learning to temper it. Finally the bit we had all been waiting for- we got to taste some of the delicious melted chocolate!
