Head teacher's Update

No threat of snow this week, however it has been extremely cold. We have endeavoured to ensure that the children continue to go outside for playtimes and lunchtimes, however one or two children have come to school without jumpers or with just a thin coat. Can we please ask that you make sure your children have the appropriate clothing for the weather as it ensures that they can have a proper run around outside during their break periods, and therefore keeps their minds fresh for learning. Our school council have been busy over the last week or so making suggestions on how we can improve the school. Some suggestions are a bit 'out there' but I do take their ideas on board, and we will see if we can put some of their ideas in place. On the subject of children's leadership we also have a Worship CREW. This is where a group of our children meet with Mrs Potter to decide on how they can present and lead worship in line with our worship theme. They have already led an assembly this half term and have made some fantastic suggestions about how we can be creative in our worship; a prayer box being available for all the children being just one idea. On the subject of worship, I have asked all the children to bring any poems and prayers in with the theme of 'Perseverance' and they have not disappointed; it's important to keep our children involved in every aspect of school life.

Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? 'We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves.'-Marie Curie

Dinner Money Payments

There are a number of children in Year 3, 4, 5, and 6 requiring a hot dinner, who are not on free school meals and who do not pay on the day. Can we please remind you that LUNCH MUST BE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE and failure to do so may result in your child being given a sandwich. The Cost per day , per child is £2.20
