Head teacher's Update

After last week, this week has been much more enjoyable -well at least for the staff, but that's not to say in any way that we have 'took out foot off the gas' in terms of learning! Today has been particularly busy but in a really nice way. This morning our Worship CREW joined other children from churches across Dudley, Stourbridge and further afield for a 'Worship Forum'. This is where children take part and share in lots of activities relating to church school teaching. I have heard that they not only had a good time but that again the behaviour of our children was immaculate. Also this morning, I took the choir to The Brett Young Day Centre where the sang a collection of songs to the people there most of whom suffer from dementia. This was very much in tune with our charity day at school as of course of theme today was 'Red Nose Day'. Back at school the children look wonderful all dressed in red, and I spent lunchtime outside with them as they took part in activities such as 'welly wanging' and 'pin the red nose on the face'. A really fun day in school and I would like to thank all the children that took part in the choir, or spent the morning at the Worship Forum, or indeed if they are one of our school councillors or members of staff who helped to organise a really enjoyable Red Nose Day at Halesowen CE Primary School.
